Through Anodization of Frames (anodic oxidation), the surface of the aluminum profile is transformed, and an oxide layer (rust – natural aging) is artificially created on it.

Because the process takes place under strictly controlled conditions, this oxide layer (mm thick) is very cohesive and hard. Since this layer is already an oxide (rust), it does not corrode when exposed to the atmosphere, thus protecting the metal much better.

This type of coating offers very limited color variety. Another disadvantage is the low scratch resistance of the frames, which prevents the construction of roller shutters and other structures, etc.

Anodization is not a coating but a treatment for aluminum profiles for doors and windows.
Frame anodization is one of the most durable “coatings,” especially for coastal areas.
