The ball catch handle is the mechanism that allows us to close an opening sash – a balcony door (e.g., when going out onto the balcony) – without it locking, but also without the wind opening it (impact protection).
The Grip – Handle – Ball Catch mechanism is installed on aluminum tilt-and-turn frames. It allows you to access your balcony or veranda, securing the swinging sash without locking it. This prevents accidental opening of the sashes (partial opening of swinging frames – support for swinging doors – stop for swinging sashes). This protects against damage from wind gusts, such as potential glass breakage or other impacts. It features a handle – grip that is placed on the exterior part of the swinging sash, allowing you to grasp and pull it, as well as a special ball catch, which is placed on the interior of the sash and secures the swinging part without locking it or requiring a key. It is the ideal solution for tilt-and-turn frames and kitchen doors where no lock has been installed.
