EFD S.5500 Hybrid

The EFD S.5500 Hybrid folding frame is the ideal combination of thermal break technology for energy-efficient aluminum bifold/accordion systems, providing absolute insulation against intense weather conditions. With all the advantages of the EFD S.5500 Hybrid Thermal Break series, this folding frame is the only frame that allows us to open the entire surface of the opening. The S.5500 bifold/accordion system combines excellently with the EOS 5500 Hybrid Thermal Break if they are in the same space. It offers high aesthetics, ergonomics, unique functionality, and flexibility in any space. With a shape more commonly known as ‘accordion’, it is the successful solution when an enclosed space needs to be combined with a veranda or garden, to easily and functionally expand or limit the space.

The EFD S.5500 Hybrid folding frames utilize four (4) rollers that can withstand a maximum leaf weight of 100 kg and a maximum dimension of 900 x 2500 mm. This allows us to construct seven-leaf (7) bifold systems. Option for recessed floor-level bottom track construction.

The Europa S.5500 bifold/accordion system from Europa uses 19 mm thick thermal break polyamides, achieving thermal insulation certification from Ift Rosenheim with a thermal conductivity coefficient for the profiles: Uf=4.2 (W/m2K).

The system is available in curved and straight lines. Electric screens can be installed in these specific aluminum frames.
