Preventing drafts with rubber seals on entrance doors

Aluminum entrance doors (or kitchen doors) without a threshold always have sealing problems (doors let in air and water from the bottom). This is because the rubber seal (rubber seal on doors) is missing at the bottom.

Fenestral installs thresholds with rubber seals on all entrance doors and kitchen doors, with slots for two brushes but mainly rubber seals. For perfect sealing (doors let in water – air).

The above problem is very common even in aluminum doors manufactured to this day. The reason is that many aluminum door manufacturers do not install the threshold at the bottom. (Which is 1 centimeter high and does not hinder use) and seal the door with simple brushes. Which simply touch the floor or marble.

As a result, entrance doors and kitchen doors let in air and water. Unfortunately, these doors, without a threshold, are very difficult to repair and have a threshold and rubber seal installed. (They require shortening and different dimensions), with the result that many buyers resort to solutions with draft excluders, which are not sufficient.

The use of a threshold on entrance doors is imperative because it allows us to use rubber seals for door sealing and not brushes.
