Pet Flaps and Doors

Pet flaps – doors in various sizes for pets (cats and dogs). They are installed on aluminum panels as well as on double energy-efficient glazing (special construction, see below). With a pet flap, your beloved pet can enter and exit the house without asking you every time. The opening for the door (dog flap – cat flap) is made in various dimensions depending on the size of your animal, and in many colors. There are pet flaps with a locking system to restrict exit during hours you do not wish your beloved friend to have access to the outdoors, as well as the ability to move the door only from one side. There is also the possibility of manufacturing electric automatic pet doors. Finally, you can find an automatic pet door that, with the help of a special collar, opens the door only for your pet.

In the case of installation on double glazing (Pet Flaps), the glass is manufactured in such a way that there is no presence of condensation between the two panes (glazing insulation). See more about the special construction for double glazing in our article hole in double glazing.

Pet flaps for cats and dogs can be installed in opening aluminum frames as well as in several sliding aluminum frames (recessed or parallel).

Pet Flaps on Opening Balcony Doors

Pet flaps on opening aluminum balcony doors are installed in two ways depending on the size of the pet. For small pets (cat flaps), we adapt the door to the double glazing, while for larger pets (dog flaps), a panel is installed at the bottom of the balcony door, and the door is adapted there to avoid breakages due to vibrations.

Pet Flaps on Sliding Balcony Doors

Pet flaps on sliding aluminum balcony doors (recessed or parallel) can be installed in two ways, similar to opening frames, with the exception of the limitation of recessed sliding frames, where a study must be conducted regarding the gap in the masonry to avoid the pet flap ‘catching’ on the screen.
