Solar Energy Coefficient – Solar Factor (g)

The solar factor – Solar Factor is denoted as g. The g-value indicates the percentage of total solar energy that passes through the glazing into the interior space, relative to the total incident solar radiation, and is expressed as a percentage (%). The smaller this percentage, the better, especially considering the climatic conditions in Greece and its hot summers. A percentage close to 40% (0.40) is ideal for the Solar Energy Coefficient – Solar Factor (solar factor = g).

It provides a detailed explanation of the terminology, coefficients, and how energy-efficient glazing works
