Sealant application to prevent corrosion

Aluminum frames are susceptible to damage at the point where they are cut and the electrostatic paint is removed. To protect the frame (filiform corrosion), sealant must be applied to all areas of the frame where the electrostatic paint is absent. Fenestral applies sealants to frames, at the cut point, for better waterproofing but primarily to prevent corrosion of the frames.

See frame coatings that have three (3) times greater durability than standard coatings and are ideal for coastal areas (Ultra-durable frame coatings).

Alternatively, see what treatment you should apply to coastal frames.
