Seaside Frames

Fenestral can manufacture Seaside Frames – frames for islands, or traditional frames with panels and divisions. Seaside Frames – frames for islands can be energy-efficient – thermally broken. For optimal energy performance in any conditions (mountain, sea, etc.). Curved divisions are used for a faithful rendition of old wooden frames (aluminum frames that resemble wood). They can also be painted in any shade, such as wood imitation, matte solid colors, textured, and metallic.
Sea side class 2 coatings for all Seaside Frames – frames for islands
A significant problem observed mainly in frames in coastal areas is filiform corrosion or oxidation of the frames. To address this issue, EUROPA uses certified Sea side class 2 coatings. This specific treatment, applied to the profile surface, is a very effective way to protect aluminum frames located near the sea or in heavily polluted environments from filiform corrosion. This specific pre-treatment includes a double, alkaline and acidic attack on the metal before the electrostatic painting of the profiles (aluminum frames in stone houses).
Brugal and sealant at aluminum cut points

For all frames in coastal areas, Fenestral applies BRUGAL IN-30. (An insulating material that completely seals the vulnerable points of the aluminum profile), for additional protection against filiform corrosion. Furthermore, aluminum frames are susceptible at the point where they are cut and the electrostatic paint is removed. To protect the frame, sealant must be applied to all areas of the frame where electrostatic paint is absent. Fenestral applies sealants to the cut points of the frames for better sealing and, crucially, to prevent corrosion of the frames.
Super-durable coatings for frames near the sea

With Super-durable aluminum frame coatings, we ensure 3 times greater durability compared to standard or anodized coatings. Super-durable frame colors are considered essential, especially in areas near the sea (coastal areas – frames for islands) with increased sunlight, as they protect against the discoloration observed in standard colors.
